So I don’t have anything new to share. I know – you’re absolutely shocked and surprised right? But I’ve had a bad week and I have not done any sewing. In fact I unplugged my sewing machine (or sewing computer as the manual informs me it is rightfully called) during a thunderstorm 4 days ago and have not even plugged it back again. It is downright gloomy in my house.
Instead of not having anything to show today, I thought I’d share a little ray of sunshine that happened the other day. I received a recent copy of Homespun magazine (March issue) and there’s my little LEGO Star Wars quilt included on a Pinteresting page.
So it’s only a little feature/picture but my excitement is big. It’s pretty cool to see it included in a real magazine I also have a project coming out in Homespun later in the year, so it’s nice to have a little debut with this quilt. There’s also been quite an increase in LEGO Star Wars patterns since then too (you can find them here) – so I look forward to seeing lots of paper pieced Star Wars guys all over the place!
That’s me. I’ll work on the dismal atmosphere and aim for something a little brighter next week. In the meantime, share your sewing sunshine with me. What have you been working on?
Quick refresher on what the deal is with the Paper Piecing Party (full details here):
* It’s on every weekend here at Quiet Play, starting Friday.
* Link up something you’re working on that’s foundation paper pieced
* Link a blog post or flickr photo
* Visit at least two other links and leave a comment because that’s half the fun!
Congratulations! I am glad your designs are getting the recognition they deserve. keep up the great work.
ReplyDeleteCongrats! How fun is that?!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations. That's something to brighten a gloomy day! Must have used the force to bring it to their attention I think!
ReplyDeleteYes, congratulations!! I am a tad put out that the magazine thinks daughters can't have the quilt though. I suppose people who don't know much about Star Wars think it is a boys' thing.

ReplyDeleteYay for your magazine publication! Don't worry. You will have your mojo back soon. :)
ReplyDeleteThat is FANTASTIC! I was just counting the months left before I need to have a completed Star Wars quilt to present to Miss 8. I haven't even started! I'm going with the once-I-start-I-won't-stop-until-I-finish approach.
