Hello quilty types! I hope this week has found you up to all sorts of quilty mischief and that you will have some awesome paper piecing fun to share in the linky party!
For the party this week, I thought we’d have a look at some of the fab mixing bowls that have been popping up in the Sew Kitschy linky party. Plus this post will also serve as a little reminder that we only have a few days left of this pattern as a freebie before the April block is released! So if you haven’t yet downloaded it, pop over and get it here. Don’t forget – it becomes a paid pattern on 1st April (Aussie time) when the new block is released as a freebie.
Onto the pretty!
First up is this sweet bowl by Sewzalot – loving the fabrics. That cross hatch print is perfect!
An awesomely retro block by Quilting is More Fun than Housework (totally love that blog name too – so true!)
And last, but not least, loving this graphic looking block in black and white from Red Letter Quilts.
I honestly love seeing how different the blocks look with different prints and colours. Absolutely my favourite part of the whole pattern design thing! So keep linking up your bowls over on the Sew Kitschy linky party! And if you’re new to the whole Sew Kitschy thing, you can check out the details here.
And now onto the paper piecing party. Let me see what you’ve been working on – all foundation style.
Quick refresher on what the deal is with the Paper Piecing Party (full details here):
* It’s on every weekend here at Quiet Play, starting Friday.
* Link up something you’re working on that’s foundation paper pieced
* Link a blog post or flickr photo
* Visit at least two other links and leave a comment because that’s half the fun!
I just stopped by to link my bowl and see you featured it! Thanks so much!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it nice to see your great patterns come to life Kristy :)
ReplyDeleteThat pattern really is cute. It's fun to see different versions. Not sure on the etiquette of linking up when I'm also hosting a linky, but I thought you might like to see my finished version of And Sew On (finally). It's at http://devotedquilter.blogspot.ca/2014/03/tgiff-and-sew-on.html. Thanks for a great pattern.
ReplyDeleteSo cool to find my black and white bowl pictured here! I am really loving the patterns each month, thank you!!
