And Sew On – August block

I like big stash and I cannot lie. Our block for August is an ode for stash lovers everywhere.

And Sew On BoM August block I like big stash

I wish my stash looked that organised. It really doesn’t. If I could be bothered to get off the lounge right now, I’d show you what my real stash looks like. But I can’t. So I won’t. (I’m sick, and going to milk it for all it’s worth).

So! I know this one looks scary and complicated. But don’t panic! It’s not as bad as it looks. Yes there are lots of pieces, but they are mostly made up of straight lines. So it does go together easily, if a bit fiddly. It’s also a fun one to use your favourite fabric scraps to put on your shelves. Cute kid story on fabric scraps… When I went to bed stupidly early, my eldest kidlet (who has been sick himself and kindly shared) brought me his favourite teddy and a little pile of fabric scraps to make me feel better hehe. Bit cute.

Anyways, back to the block! I’ve listed it in my Craftsy shop as a freebie for the month of August. And if you can believe it… there’s only one block left after this. Doesn’t time fly when you’re having fun!

And of course, we have prizes! All you have to do to be eligible to win one of these is make the block and then swing by and link it up to the linky party here on the blog. (If you’re super quick, you still have time to link up your July block but make it fast so you don’t miss out!!)

A $20 gift certificate from  Fat Quarter Shop

And how about the winner's choice of 3 patterns from my Craftsy Pattern Shop. Plenty to choose from!

So there we go, my quilty friends. We have the eighth block for the And Sew On BoM. The end is nigh! Hope you’re having as much fun with it all as I am!

Happy sewing! And make sure you share your BoM block in the linky party here!

  3. I'd love to have a cupboard to store my stash in instead of boxes! Isn't your son a sweetie to share his teddy and bring you some fabric to make you feel better?! Pity he shared his cold too!

I blame you for the aggravation my coworkers will be forced to endure as I mumble this song for the rest of the day. Who knows, maybe they will like the break from Mario theme!
