We’re all just spoolin’ around!

I’m loving seeing the different Spoolin’ Around blocks from the And Sew On BoM popping up in Flickr and in the linky party!

Here are a couple that have caught my eye so far.

Mary's block

Mary’s block: Love the textured fabrics for the “thread” part of the spools!

Susies' block

Susie’s block features fussy cutting on the spools – cute!

Anita's block

Anita used selvedges on the tops and bottoms of her spools. I’m a sucker for some selvedge incorporation!

Wendy's block

And here’s Wendy’s (or Derek as I sometimes like to call her Winking smile ) version all in solids!

How are you going with your block? Still some time to get it made and added to the linky party! You don’t want to miss out – some really fabulous prizes up on offer!

A 2wentyThr3e charm pack from Fat Quarter Shop

1 scrap pack from Fabricworm

All you have to do for a chance at one of these is download the free pattern in my Craftsy store, piece it together, take a photo and link it up to the linky party! Too easy! Looking forward to seeing what you make! Winking smile

  2. Hi Kristy, I missed the February block because I wasn't feeling good but I'm still motivated to sew the March one. Seeing all these just makes me want to try it, too.

  8. Oops - I sewed the left side to the wrong side so my spool is leaning against nothing! hahaha Funny though - I didn't see that it was wrong until I took a photo and posted it up here!! I will unpick and re-sew.
