A little bit of WiP Wednesday

Okay I’ve started this blog post about four times and still can’t get it to make sense. So let’s pretend I wrote a very funny little introduction to my WiP Wednesday and continue on with some pictures, hey?

Here’s my current WiP: Sew Seasonal blocks! I have made all 25 of these little beauties! I’ve had a lot of fun fussy cutting fabrics for these 5” blocks. See exhibit A:

What's Up Doc?
The paper pieced stocking on the left is from my half of the Sew Seasonal patterns, checking out the rotary cut ornament on the right from Alyce’s half of the patterns. Don’t they look cute?!

And here are a few more favourite blocks so far:

Have you checked out the Sew Seasonal patterns yet? They are free for the duration of the blog hop. Plus if you make something fab with one of the patterns and join our linky party at the end of the month, there’s a chance to win a prize! Check out the details over here (and enter the giveaway while you’re at it!). Plus follow along with the blog hop for some seriously awesome inspiration. We are half way through and I’m loving seeing what everyone is making with the blocks.

Sew Seasonal

Meantime, back at the farm, I have these 25 lovelies to sort out into some kind of fabulous project. Yeah must get my sewjo going on with this WiP!

The other WiP is of course my Spanish Tiles quilt. I have finished my venture into FMQ in each of the 9 panels. Now to finish off with some straight line outline quilting. Maybe when it’s a little cooler and I don’t have to have oodles of quilt draped over me to get it done.

Quilting Spanish Tiles

Why, yes, that is a recycled photo of Spanish Tiles. Rule #65 of the Lazy Girl’s Guide to Blogging – recycle, recycle, recycle.

And that’s all folks! Hope you’re feeling a bit more enthused about your WiP progress than I am! (That probably doesn’t sound right, a bit like calling it an ATM machine, but you get what I mean.)

  11. The Christmas blocks are cute... Gotta love the little rabbit.

Recycling.. hmm... hadn't quite formulated it that way but since we're not all superwomen who can start and finish a project in a week, sometimes there's just is little to no progress and the same picture will works for weeks and weeks :)
