I wanted to share a little project I made for Issue Two of Make Modern. Because it’s paper piecing. And well, really. I shouldn’t need to say any more than that. We all know paper piecing is fun and awesome, right?! (Nod and agree, even those of you who may still have doubts).
So I’m kind of loving arrows right now. I have a larger paper pieced arrow block in my shop, and one day I thought hmm, how cool would that be to remake as a teeny tiny block for a pincushion? Because that’s how my brain works. Paper piecing is awesome. Teeny paper piecing is omgoutofthisworldawesome. True fact.
Let me tell you friends, this was itty bitty. The pincushion measures 2.5” x 4.5”. Yay teeny! And really – let me assure you. Tiny paper piecing isn’t that much harder than regular paper piecing. The unpicking may be a different story, but try not to make mistakes then you don’t have to unpick. How’s that for a solution? :)
So my friends, this is just one of the projects in Issue Two of Make Modern. But there are some seriously awesome, stunning and amazing projects to be found too! Not to mention the awesome articles. Here’s a little glimpse.
Make Modern is all digital too so if you’d love to get your hands on a copy, you can just swing by the Make Modern shop and download it straight away. No waiting to get making! Woohoo!
Happy sewing my friends!
