June was joyous, but July was even better –hence jubilant. I love putting together these little mosaics so I can reflect over what I’ve done in the past month. It looks like July was a LOT of paper piecing. Funny that. What an interesting coincidence that I also got EQ7 at the end of June.
Details of the block in clockwise order: Quilter’s Bible, Saving for a rainy day pouch, Fire truck, Diamond Star, Chameleon tote, Umbrella, Diamond Star, Umbrella mini, Bee blocks, Diamond star, Songbird, Helicopter and in the centre – my big finish for the month – Peacocks in the Garden.
And guess what August is bringing? More paper piecing!! I know, shocking right? First off the Practically Paper Piecing Blog Hop kicked off today! Pop over and check out the pouch I made to start the hop, and leave a comment to enter the giveaway for a sweet charm pack!
Plus my newest WiP is a paper pieced quilt. I only just started it with three blocks the other day, and have added another two today. I’m going with blues, purples and greens.
These are some of my favourite colours so I thought I’d go with the theme and use some of my favourite fabrics for the centres. Today I added some Aviary:
And some more Good Fortune. Seems I quite like Kate Spain’s fabrics.
This is a nice easy paper pieced pattern and the blocks don’t take long to make at all. You can find the pattern here as a freebie.
So to keep up with some of my fave linky parties… linking this post up with Fresh Sewing Day at Lily’s Quilts and WiP Wednesday at Freshly Pieced.
