Thinking small

This is what procrastination looks like.

Instead of basting and preparing my XOXO quilt for the monster task of quilting... I decided to make a 2.5" circle of geese block. Turns out you can actually paper piece that small. The most ridiculous part? (Yes, even more ridiculous than making such a teeny tiny paper pieced block). This took just as long to make as a 12" block. Crazy!

I do have plans for it. But I can't say just yet.

Suffice to say, its prototype, measuring 5" was too big for what I have planned. So I have plans for the bitty block but the bigger one is an orphan currently. Suggestions?

P.S. Talking about small fun things, don't forget to enter the charm pack giveaway here at Quiet Play and over there at Finding Fifth. :)

  5. fabulous blocks - I just made a 6" one but don't think I'll be making a 2.5" one ! that 5" would look great as the front of a little pouch :)

  6. Oh you are seriously ill with paper piecing disease Kristy! I agree - great for a matching mug rug.

  7. It is perfect. Most of pattern I have designed and sewn are 3inch only. So believe me I know what does it mean. Flying geese in such size is a real challenge. You won it!
