I had an idea for a little gift for an IG friend - involving a teeny quilt with a personalised spool on it. It started as an idea for a single letter, and then suddenly, there I am drawing up an entire alphabet. Because why stop at one, right?
I can't show you my prototype as it hasn't arrived yet but I can show you some of the tester blocks!
This gorgeous one is by Susie of Susie's Sunroom. How perfect is it - and that background is one of my absolute faves (Sticks and Twine by Alison Glass).
And here's another from Becky (@keizerquilts on IG). Ah these make my quilty heart sing!
So for the curious - here is what the full alphabet looks like - at least in sketch form. It's currently undergoing testing and I'm aiming to have the alphabet available in my Craftsy shop by the middle of March.
If you're on IG, you can see the tester blocks that are popping up under #AlphabetSpools. Can't wait to see more!
Usual disclaimer: While I do not have direct paid sponsorship on my blog, I am a Craftsy
affiliate and receive commission payments based on affiliate links that I
may include within my blog posts. A girl's got to help fund her fabric
addiction somehow ;)
What a great idea!
ReplyDeleteThis is a brilliant pattern, Kristy! I love that it is quick and fun... with no fussy points to line up!! Sew on!! ( You little enabler, you!)

Very cute! I'll be tempted to buy it! Do you need pattern testers? :)
