Christmas. Hectic. Mad sewing rush. You know how it goes. So let’s keep this short and sweet!
No paper piecing projects as such in my house at the moment but there’s always some patterns I’ve been working on behind the scenes. Thought I might share some of my recent ones.
Pretty sure there are bazillions of people out there quietly shrieking (juxtaposition of the incongruous – thanks Year 12 English teacher for my favourite phrase) “Where are the Aussie animal patterns?” Well. Here they are. In sketch form at least.
We have a kangaroo, cockatoo, koala, wombat, kookaburra and a rather refined emu who needs some ruffled feathers before the sketch is done.
I’m rather keen to have a play with these patterns and see how they look in fabric but… Christmas sewing first!
So there’s my short and sweet post – your turn! Share what you’ve been working on foundation-style
Quick refresher on what the deal is with the Paper Piecing Party (full details here):
* It’s on every weekend here at Quiet Play, starting Friday.
* Link up something you’re working on that’s foundation paper pieced
* Link a blog post or flickr photo
* Visit at least two other links and leave a comment because that’s half the fun!
