Progress + a sneak peek

I have made progress on the epic LEGO Star Wars quilt. Oh yes – even more progress than I’m sharing here. I just haven’t taken an updated pic yet but you can believe me when I say I’m now up to the quilting stage. That’s right – it’s all basted and everything. Impressed? Me too.

Lego Star Wars Paper Pieced Blocks Now with Sashing

For now, this picture will have to suffice. But you can see the blocks are sashed. I know – the light sabers aren’t there yet. But they are on the finished quilt. The big final reveal will be delayed for purposes of finding an awesome backdrop for the photos. My boring backyard photos just aren’t going to cut it. I mean, this is an epic quilt considering each block took 2-3 hours. Yeah, each. So I’m not just hanging this baby on the clothesline for photos. I’ll have to get creative.

And I’m sure you’ve all been waiting with bated breath for this announcement… all the LEGO Star Wars blocks have now been listed in my Craftsy shop. For free. Have fun and may the force be with you and all that.

LEGO Star Wars free paper pieced patterns

Oh there is one more… but he hasn’t been tested yet. Had a special request for another baddie in the form of General Grevious. Hands up if you want to test him! Then he’ll be available too. THEN all the characters will be listed. AND THEN I’m calling it quits on LEGO Star Wars patterns.  I don’t think I have it in me to make any more LEGO Star Wars patterns at this time!

grevious

For a break from all this LEGO Star Wars nonsense… I have made something on the complete opposite end of the spectrum. How about a very pink (as in ALL pink according to Miss 3’s demands instructions) unicorn? Here’s a sneak peek. You’ll need to come back for the Paper Piecing Party on Friday for the big reveal (and better non-night time pics).

All Pink Paper Pieced Unicorn sneak peek

So that’s where I’m up to. Progress happening, new projects started and yet more patterns. Busy busy busy.

    1. Hi Hannah! Thanks for the offer! Unfortunately you're coming up as a no-reply blogger so I don't have a way to contact you about the pattern. If you happen to pop back and see this, send me an email :) kristyqp at gmail

  21. Will you put into etsy the pink unicorn? My 5-year old daughter would love it (probably for Christmas). She is totally into horses, ponies and unicorns (she does not even play with any kind of dolls...) and definitely pink on pink (sometimes purple).
    thanks

  25. Kristy your (J's) Star Wars quilt is absolutely wonderful! I can't believe that you've put it together so quickly. My kiddos had their Book Week dress up day today so I have spent the last few days sewing a Qui-Gon Jinn costume for my Star Wars fanatic. Mr 3 spied someone in a unicorn costume at school - love your unicorn!
